By the time the Ambassador Bridge was completed in 1927, sixty men had lost their lives. They worked day in and day out, through the brutal winters with minimal to no safety precautions in order to finish this monumental bridge. Those were hard men, BUT…I took this on a cold day with no gloves. So, I guess we all made sacrifices to make this happen. You can argue amongst yourselves in regards to who made the larger sacrifice.
